Hillary Clinton Supports Stable Communities.. (none / 0)

Of all three candidates, Hillary, I think, has by far the best shot at turning the economy around.

Her healthcare plan - with its premium cap would prevent a huge cause of forclosures and bankruptcies - uncovered medical bills, often when people have medical insurance that doesnt cover enough.

These forclosures and bankruptcies are destroying communities.

We need to turn this country around.

Re: More than 100 Kentucky Leaders Endorse Hillary (none / 0)

Kentucky has been in Sen. Clinton's win column from day one.

The real question is going to be about the expectations and seeing just what Sen. Edward's endorsement does for Sen. Obama. Looked at that way, Sen. Clinton's big win in West Virginia this week works against her, setting the bar so low for Sen. Obama he's almost certain to clear it.

If Clinton wins Kentucky by a wider margin than West Virginia there might be cause for celebration among her supporters, but even then that news is likely to be blunted by Obama's handy win in Oregon and his likely passing of the majority in pledged delegates.

by werehippy on Thu May 15, 2008 at 01:23:20 PM EST

Ridiculously high bar you are trying to set (2.00 / 1)

She cleaned his clock in WVA, she will likely do a double digit win in KY.  That will be a tremendous victory.  End of story.

Keep it coming, Clinton (2.00 / 1)

Hopefully she'll be able to pull some support in Oregon, despite it being Obama country.

Thankfully she'll win Kentucky handily without spending much money; she'll perhaps make up some of her debt in donations.

Word on the ground (anecdotal, and I'd love to hear more if anyone has it) has been that Sen. Obama's support was very active before the voter registration deadline, while Sen. Clinton's campaign was focused on the upcoming North Carolina and Indiana primaries.

Actually they matter more (none / 0)

The vote of a person in a low population states actually matters more in November than one in a high-population state because each state's electoral vote allocation is not strictly based on population.

Nonetheless, I was rebutting LindaSFNM's barely-coherent point that the endorsement of 100 state officials is somehow evidence that Hillary is not losing the nomination contest, so your comment isn't particularly relevant.

I suppose you'll also argue in July that we can't nominate Obama because he hasn't won a single contest that month!

Obama's one win in march doesnt make him the nominee, its his many other wins and large number of delegates. The calendar doesn't choose the nominee, voters do, and they've chosen Obama.

The Clintons have built up a huge well of loyalty over the past decade, and this gentle "You keep on running...aaaaaaaaaaahm just gonna head on to this general election" treatment from Obama is as much for former Clinton allies switching sides as it is for Hillary and her campaign's dignity.

Oregon has ALOT of blue collar workers and real democratic base.  Will they be enough for Hillary to win, yet to be seen.  But she doesn't take any voter for granted, like someone else, who already makes his predicitons based on his polling and demographics.  Good thing, because he's shown not to be a very good pshycic there. lol
